Grandads Gun

Take a step back in time with us as we go over some of the firearms that our fathers and grandfathers could have used.

High Standard Sport King- Grandads Guns

On this episode of Grandads Guns we are taking a look at the High Standard Sport King Pistol. Manufactured from 1950 until 1980. In 7 different series it was a long running firearm. This pistol was popular due to its all-metal construction, except for the two-piece plastic grips, Low bore access, fixed barrel design, ease of field stripping and affordability. The model that we are looking at today is in the version one manufactured from 1950-1954. Enjoy the video.

Remington Model 24, Grandads Guns

Today we are starting a new series called Grandads Guns. In this series of videos, we will be taking a look at firearms that our Grandfathers could have shot, in this case my Grandfather actually did shoot this rifle that happens to be a Remington Model 24. The Model 24 was based on a John Browning design and was actually able to be taken apart in two halves, it was also called the take down. Enjoy the video.

Stevens Model 87, Grandads Guns Episode 3

Poppy introduces us to this rather unique rifle chambered in 22 short, 22 long and 22 long rifle. It is an amazing work of engineering for the time for when it was manufactured. With its distinctive click clack sound when it is being fired (also it’s nickname) you will know one if you hear one.

Winchester Model 74, Grandads Guns

Today Poppy is going to introduce us to the Winchester Model 74 in the latest episode of Grandads Guns. This is an awesome 22 caliber rifle that came in both Long rifle and short rifle chamberings and both are a pleasure to shoot and amazingly accurate. Enjoy the video.
